How to reach Apostille UK about FCDO apostilles, ACRO police certificates and certified translations, and what to include in your enquiry.
Get in touch
If you have a question about legalising a document, ordering an apostille, obtaining an ACRO police certificate or arranging a certified translation, the fastest way to get an answer is to send us a message describing your situation. We read every enquiry and reply with a clear, practical answer rather than a generic sales pitch.
You do not need to know the terminology. It is enough to tell us what document you have, which country it is intended for and what the receiving party has asked for. That is usually all we need to tell you which route applies: an FCDO apostille, a certified translation, or a combination of both.
What to include in your enquiry
To help us respond accurately the first time, it helps if your message covers:
- The type of document, for example a birth certificate, marriage certificate, degree, ACRO police certificate or power of attorney.
- The destination country, apostille requirements differ depending on where the document will be used.
- The deadline you are working to, if a university, employer, immigration authority or notary has given you a date, mention it.
- Whether a translation is needed, and if so, whether the receiving party has specified any requirements for the translator or certification.
If you are unsure about any of these points, just say so. Part of our job is to work out the correct route for you, and we would rather ask a follow-up question than have you guess.
Before you write
Many common questions are already answered on our Home page, including how the apostille process works, what certified translation involves and how ACRO police certificates fit into the picture. A quick look there may save you a message, though you are always welcome to write to us regardless.
We aim to reply to every enquiry promptly, and we will tell you plainly if a document cannot be legalised in the way you expect. No obligation, no pressure: just straightforward guidance on the next step for your paperwork.
